Oleation and Sudation are the most important preparatory measures to have Panchakarma (purification therapies).This includes various types of whole body therapies like Synchronized massage, Pizhichil (kayaseka), Njavarakizhi, Choorna swedam, Pathrapotala swedam, etc, can be done both internally as well as externally. Accommodation:  6 Cottages (a/c and non a/c), each with 2 double rooms, 2 wooden Kerala Houses without air-condition, flaunting the rich specimens of Kerala architecture with antique, carved doors and pillars, each building is unique in its own style, 5 Deluxe Rooms (a/c and non a/c) and "The Nest" (suite without air-condition) are perched at various levels down a hill slope leading to a private beach. The buildings represent traditional Kerala style and allow each guest to enjoy a private lawn or a view to the Arabian Sea within a tropical garden with coconut trees swaying in the wind, colourful orchids, rare plants and fruits. 10 Beach Chalets with 12 rooms (a/c and non a/c) are situated near the beach on an extension of the resort. Somatheeram Manaltheeram Ayurvedic Beach

Location: In Chowara at the south coast of Kerala near the popular beach town Kovalam, The two spacious sister resorts are perched on a hill overlooking the Arabian Sea. The cottages and Kerala wood houses built in the traditional style lay scattered in the property; their architecture fits perfectly to the tropical landscape of Kerala with numerous palm trees. Criss cross up and down on the small footpaths connecting the cottages. At the foot of the hill find the kilometre long public beach on the Arabian Sea (4 – 8 minutes by walk).
Rooms:  The conveniently furbished round Garden Cottages provide shower/WC, ceiling fan, mosquito net, telephone and a small terrace. The Special Cottages offer in addition a sea view. Traditional style of living is represented in the wooden Kerala Houses each with 2 – 4 Deluxe Room (a/c)/Ordinary Rooms (non a/c), some of them have a small inner courtyard or veranda, or an open-air bath room. Ayurveda treatments:    Both resorts have a long standing experience in Ayurveda. Each one has its own big Ayurveda centre with a large number of qualified Ayurveda ladies and male doctors as well as 70 therapists, diversified in Ayurveda revitalisation, purification and selective Ayurveda treatments. After a careful analysis of the patient data and detailed examination the Ayurveda doctor will compose an individual treatment and menu plan for each patient.  More than 350 medicinal herbs grow in the own botanical garden. The house-own manufactory processes the oil and tinctures for the guests, stored in an eco-friendly way. All Ayurveda products are fabricated with the utmost carefulness under strict control by highly qualified doctors. Old traditional recipes handed down from one generation to other provide the basis for the production. In 2002 the resort achieved the award for the best Ayurvedic herbal garden of India. Ayurveda on the beach … The Travancore

The Travancore Heritage is one of the most beautiful heritage resorts in Kerala. The main building housing the reception was originally a 150 years old typical antique Kerala palace and brings alive the age-old traditional architectural splendour of the region with its typical timber houses and “Nalukettus” with tiled roofing. Being dismantled in its hometown and originally rebuilt in combination with modern designs, the lobby is an image of the majestic Valiyamadam Palace of the earlier Edapally kings, decorated with fine wood carvings and beautiful stone masonry at its columns.
Location: In Chowara, 23 km south of Trivandrum airport. The resort is situated on a 120 m high cliff overlooking the Arabian Sea in 15 acres of lush green coconut garden. The beach below the cliff, also accessible by an elevator, is maintained by the resort during day time within the entrance area with beach chairs, umbrellas and a life guard.
Rooms:  There are 90 rooms with air-condition, tastefully equipped with antique robust wooden furniture in the traditional Kerala style, satellite TV, telephone, coffee/tea machine.
