Kovalam is a beach town on the Arabian Sea in Kerala, a state in south India. It is located around 16 km outside Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) City in the Thiruvananthapuram district. There are a large number of beach resorts in and around Kovalam. The sea port of Vizhinjam is about 3 km away and famous for its special varieties of fish, old Hindu temples, big churches and a mosque. The Proposed International Trans shipment Terminal at Vizhinjam is also close to Kovalam. Kovalam was among the most prominent tourist spots in India during the hippy era. It still has a high status among tourists, who arrive mostly from Europe and Israel. Kovalam is finding a new significance in the light of several Ayurvedic salons, and recuperation and regeneration resorts, which provide a wide variety of Ayurvedic treatments for tourists.
Trivandrum / Kovalam / Trivandrum
Day 01: Arrive at Trivandrum – Kovalam:
Meet & greet on arrival and transfer to a Beach Resort at Kovalam - is an internationally renowned beach with three adjacent crescent beaches. It has been a favorite haunt of tourists. Rest of the day free. Overnight.
Day 02: Trivandrum – Kovalam:
After breakfast, relax at the beach or proceed for day trip to Kanniyakumari - the land’s end of India or the point where the three seas meet, enchanting Kanniyakumari or Cape Comorin is one of the most popular tourist spots in the South India. Visit to Vivekananda Memorial - built on the Vivekananda Rock where the charismatic and philosopher Swami Vivekananda meditated and transformed himself. Return to resort and overnight.
Day 03: Trivandrum – Kovalam:
Full day free near beach and overnight.
Day 04: Trivandrum – Kovalam:
Full day free near beach and overnight.
Day 05: Trivandrum:
Morning after breakfast checkout and drive to Airport to board the flight for onward destination. Tour Ends.
