Day 3: Delhi – Agra:
Proceed in private car to Agra. Sightseeing of the world-famous Taj Mahal, the huge Agra Fort and Itimad-ud-Daulah, a master piece of Indian Moghul art. Overnight in The Oberoi Amarvilas*****. Day 4: Agra – Jaipur:
Drive to Jaipur. Enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri, Moghul Emperor Akbars deserted capital made of pure pink sand stone with the famous tomb of the holy saint Chisti and the bombastic Buland Darwasa (Gate of Victory). Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan, well-known as "Pink City"ever since the visit of King Edward VII. Day 6: Jaipur – Udaipur:
Flight to Udaipur. Overnight in The Oberoi Udaivilas*****. Day 7: Udaipur:
Visit the City Palace, a blend of Rajasthani and Mogul architecture. The former Maharana still lives in a part of the palace. The highest point is the garden palace (a former hill) with fine views over the Pichola Lake and the city. The pavilions, halls and courtyards show a collection of art. Unique are the enamel- and glass peacocks, miniature paintings of the Rajasthani and Mogul schools and old weapons. See also Sahelion-ki-Bari or ladies garden which was specially built for the ladies of the palace in the 18th cent. During hot summer weather you will enjoy cool atmosphere due to the beautiful fountains. PM: Enjoy a pleasant boat tour on the picturesque Pichola Lake. You pass the ghats (steps to the water where local people take their bath and wash their cloths), the famous and extravagant Lake Palace Hotel (Jag Nivas) and Jag Mandir, an island with the ruins of a former summer palace.
